HOW WE VALUE YOUR WATCH:
Our highly trained specialists carefully assess each watch and take into consideration the brand, model, condition, desirability, age, provenance, quality of craftsmanship and market value to ensure we provide you with the most accurate and up to date valuation loan estimate. The five most important factors are:
Brand & Model
This is one of the most important factors that drives value. Limited editions of either vintage or modern watches are deemed higher value and attract interest from collectors. Furthermore, certain models of luxury brands such as Rolex and Patek Philippe tend to hold their value much better over time than other less prestigious watch brands.
Provenance
If you have the original box, a certificate of sale or any papers that record information about your watch, this adds value. If you have lost or misplaced them, don’t worry, we will still be able to provide you with a loan estimate.
Condition
The overall working aesthetic condition can affect the value of a watch. We understand that over time your luxury watch might have some wear and tear, though any significant dents, scratches, repairs, restorations or other damage to the glass or bracelet can impact the value.
Market Value
We consider any recent information we can locate from auction private sale records to ensure our valuations are accurate. We also check your watch against lost and stolen registers as part of our due diligence.
Age
The age of your watch can have a positive or negative impact on value. Contemporary and modern watches tend to have a higher value when they are newer. Vintage watches are valued on their rarity and condition. Read more about our valuation process for watches.

If you use our courier service to have your watch collected from your home & send your items to us, they will be insured up to £20,000 during transportation.

Do pawn shops take broken watches?
Yes, although not all pawn shops accept broken watches. It depends on the extent of the damage. If the watch is repairable, we may still be able to loan on the watch.
Is it better to sell or pawn watches?
It depends on your needs. Pawning a watch allows you to access quick funds without parting with your watch permanently, making it ideal for short–term finance. Selling your watch is more suitable if you no longer wish to keep the watch and need quick cash for watches.
Is my watch secure during the loan period?
Yes. All watches are stored in protective packaging in our highly secure London–based vaults. Our team handles your watches with care and will be returned to you in the same or better condition we received them in.

No, we do not carry out credit checks. This is a collateral watch loan, which means your credit history is not affected and credit reference agencies cannot see this.
What happens to my watch if I can’t pay my loan?
If you are unable to repay the loan, we will sell your watch to clear the outstanding balance. This fully settles your debt, and if the watch sells for more than the amount owed, the surplus will be returned to you.
Can I pawn my watch without box and papers?
If you do not have the original box and papers such as the warranty card and receipts for your watch, you can still pawn it with us. Having papers and packaging will increase you amount you can borrow against your watch, but this is not essential, and we can loan against watches without them.
Why loan against your watch?
